Event & Sales Coordinator
Opolo Wines LP is seeking an organized and sales-minded Events & Sales Coordinator to coordinate and execute winery events while driving private and corporate event bookings. Reporting to the Director of Hospitality, the ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $24 – $30 per hour, DOE & commissions
Essential duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
● Coordinate and execute all winery events, including public events, wine club events, private parties, and corporate gatherings, ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience.
● Proactively conduct outreach to drive private and corporate event bookings, including calls, local visits, and targeted outreach to Destination Management Companies, event planners, local hotels, and corporate clients.
● With support from Hospitality leadership, schedule and coordinate event staff, vendors, rental equipment, catering, and all materials necessary to produce successful events.
● Maintain the Hospitality Events Calendar and assist with scheduling reservations, group tastings, and private bookings.
● Assist with tracking event budgets, revenue reporting, and providing Budget-to-Actual summaries to the Director of Hospitality.
● Collaborate with the marketing team to support event promotion, including e-flyers, social content, tasting room signage, and program collateral.
● Coordinate logistics for off-site promotional events, trade shows, and industry tastings in collaboration with the marketing and hospitality teams.
● Monitor supply and inventory levels for events and ensure all materials and equipment are stocked and prepared in advance.
● Support tasting room operations and assist with floor coverage as needed.
● Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
● 2–4 years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, sales, or a related field; winery or luxury hospitality experience a plus.
● Strong sales instincts with confidence in outreach, client communication, and closing bookings.
● Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
● Experience with POS systems (Commerce7, a plus)
● Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays based on the events calendar.
● Passion for the wine industry and a genuine enthusiasm for creating outstanding guest experiences.
● Ability to lift 50 lbs (case of wine)
