Opolo Viognier comes from our estate vineyards and other select sites on both the eastside and westside areas of Paso Robles as well as the cooler Edna Valley to the south, cultivating a natural complexity of fruit expressions. We aim to produce a highly aromatic Viognier that balances rich varietal character with freshness and purity.
Winemaker's Tasting Notes:
The 2023 Viognier offers floral spice aromas with notes of peach, pear, honey and Crenshaw melon. A round, viscous mouthfeel displays tropical flavors with suggestions of nectarine and refreshing lemon citrus. The rich mid-palate gains energy with bright acidity on the finish. Fermented predominantly in stainless steel, with a small portion fermented in French oak barrels for enhanced complexity.
