This Sangiovese is a medium-bodied wine featuring forward fruit characteristics of raspberry, mint leaves and black cherry. The luxurious finish lingers on the palate popping with bright acidity and a velvety texture. 14 month aging on French and American Oak lends this wine soft tannins and subtle oak nuances.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes

Opolo Sangiovese is a vibrantly flavored wine that pays homage to this great Tuscan varietal, combining Old World style with a Paso Robles flair. The 2021 vintage presents a delicate nose of purple flowers, raspberry, mulberry, dried thyme and loam. Bright, racy textures bring flavors of cranberry, pomegranate and blue fruits with suggestions of earthy mint. Mouthwatering acidity carries the wine to a tangy, food-friendly conclusion.
